Ways to Give

There are many ways to give through the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation.

Tribute Giving

A tribute gift made in one’s name is always a meaningful way to mark a special occasion or honor a beloved family member or friend. A donation made in honor or memory of someone or a special occasion may be restricted to a particular area of the health system, like Piedmont Columbus Regional Northside Campus, John B. Amos Cancer Center or The Children’s Hospital. When you make a tribute gift to Piedmont Columbus Regional, we’ll send your honoree or their family a note acknowledging your generosity.

Thank A Caregiver

Every day, we hear extraordinary stories from grateful patients about the care and compassion demonstrated by physicians, nurses and staff at Piedmont Columbus Regional.

Patients and family members often ask, "How can I say 'thank you' to those people who made a difference while I was in the hospital?" Perhaps you've already expressed your appreciation with a handshake, a hug or a note but would like to do something more – something that will make an even greater impact.

Making a gift in honor of a caregiver who made a memorable impression on you or a loved one while at Piedmont Columbus Regional will celebrate the special care you received while ensuring that we have the resources to continue excellent patient care for future generations.

Your special caregiver will receive a card notifying them a gift was made in their honor. Your gift amount is not disclosed.

Gifts via Cash, Check or Credit Card:

  • A cash gift may be brought directly to the Foundation office, and a cash receipt will be issued.
  • Checks may be mailed or personally delivered and made payable to the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation or PCR Foundation.
  • The Foundation accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit cards.

Other Forms of Gifts Accepted:

  • Gifts of Stock (Appreciated Assets): A gift of appreciated securities such as stocks, mutual funds, and bonds - that have been held for one year and a day can provide attractive benefits for philanthropy. An outright gift of long-term appreciated assets may avoid capital gains taxes, and, in most cases, the donor obtains a charitable income tax deduction equal to the market value of the securities.

  • Gifts of Life Insurance: Life Insurance policies make a wonderful gift when a policy is no longer needed, the financial significance of the policy has changed, or you do not wish to continue premium payments, and the foundation may assume the ownership and beneficiary of the policy.

  • Gifts of Real Estate: Depending on the circumstances involved, gifts of real estate can be an effective means of planning a gift. Generally speaking, a rule of thumb is that an acceptable piece of property is one that can be readily sold.
