Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) program at Piedmont Healthcare is pleased to offer high quality educational opportunities that support the values of Piedmont Healthcare through:

  • Offering educational content that focuses on patient centered care
  • Engaging in planning processes for inter-professional educational activities that fosters teamwork and connections through building bridges with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring accountability through efficient and effective management of resources, complying with the standards and guidelines of the ACCME, and focusing on patient outcomes
  • Embracing the future by integrating patient safety and quality issues into our educational activities while using multiple educational interventions and innovative methods to share content throughout the system
  • Developing educational activities that address patient safety and quality of care issues and other identified needs that will ultimately improve patient outcomes through improving the competence and performance of the members of the healthcare team.

We seek to serve our target audiences which include physicians and staff from Piedmont Healthcare and other physicians, PAs, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and health care providers located in the communities served by Piedmont Healthcare. Our continuing medical education activities include live events, enduring materials, and other learning opportunities.

Piedmont Healthcare is accredited by the Medical Association of Georgia to offer AMA PRA Category 1TM continuing medical education for physicians.
