COVID-19 Vaccine Information
Great news! We are starting off the new year with new hope: a COVID-19 vaccination. In line with the State of Georgia’s rollout plan, Piedmont is planning to expand our vaccination efforts. Here’s what you need to know about vaccine availability for yourself and your family members:
- Piedmont will offer COVID-19 vaccination following the State of Georgia’s roll-out plan, which currently includes healthcare workers and residents of long-term care facilities. Effective January 11, this will also include adults 65 and above, first responders, firefighters and law enforcement officers.
- Next, Piedmont is preparing for vaccination of patients that meet the state’s criteria. We will communicate with patients who fit the state's criteria as soon as appointments are available.
- For patients interested in the vaccine who are not yet eligible, we will continue to keep you informed as the state announces each phase of the roll-out plan. We will also send information and scheduling instructions as you become eligible to receive the vaccine.
Do not contact your provider’s office about vaccine scheduling. When you become eligible for the vaccination and scheduling is available, Piedmont will notify you with more information and instructions for scheduling your appointment.
