The Piedmont Kidney Transplant Seminar is in its 7th iteration with the continued objective of pulling interdisciplinary team members to discuss what’s current with kidney transplantation. This seminar is designed to foster open communication about the challenges and barriers that patients face when seeking transplantation so that these barriers can be reconciled before transplant occurs. This seminar is one of the only nationally offered, free education opportunities hosted by a transplant center to share what’s going right and what challenges exist for patients seeking a kidney transplant in treatment of their End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).
