Our approach

Our care team is committed to providing accurate and timely answers to help ease your mind so you can focus on your treatment and well-being. Rest assured, you are in the hands of breast radiologists and surgeons, who are experts in breast cancer diagnosis, holding national accreditation from the American College of Radiology across all diagnostic capabilities.

Depending on your symptoms, you may require one or more of the following tests for an accurate diagnosis:

  • Diagnostic mammogram: We provide advanced imaging tools, like 3D mammography (tomosynthesis), which helps us get more accurate diagnoses for better treatment options.
  • Breast ultrasound: A breast ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to look more closely at any abnormalities. It also helps pinpoint the exact location of a lesion during a biopsy.
  • Advanced breast MRI: We use MRI when we need detailed images, especially if the breast tissue is denser than normal.
  • Breast biopsy: If we find abnormal tissue, we perform a biopsy to collect tissue for analysis by our expert pathologists. This involves a local anesthetic and a small cut in the skin. Core breast biopsies can be guided by touch, ultrasound, X-ray (stereo) or MRI.
  • Pathology: The biopsy results tell us if breast cancer is present. A board-certified pathologist examines the tissue, and the report is sent directly to the doctor who performed the biopsy.
