Infant loss resources
The loss of a child is the most difficult thing parents ever face. No matter where you were in your life with your child - pregnancy, delivery or the first weeks and months after delivery - the death of your baby has changed your life forever.
OB Care Consultations
Beginning May 14, 2024, the Piedmont Athens Regional Women’s and Children’s Department will be offering OB Care Consultations for patients with a history of birth trauma, perinatal loss or abuse.
Perinatal Palliative Care Program
Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital created its Perinatal Palliative Care Program to support families that anticipate the loss of a baby. Palliative care aims to focus on a family-centered time spent promoting quality of life instead of prolonging life with procedures and treatments.
