8 ways to celebrate Father’s Day

Fathers and father figures play an important role in the lives of children. They are motivators, mentors, friends and confidants. Here are eight ways to celebrate all of the dads in your life this weekend.

1. Have brunch.

Many restaurants are devoted to making dads feel special on Father’s Day. Remember to make a reservation, as this is often one of the busiest weekends for restaurants. You can also serve up a healthy brunch at home with this baked apple-cinnamon French toast.

2. Go to the zoo.

Give your dad a bear hug at Zoo Atlanta.

3. Head to Stone Mountain.

Stone Mountain Park. is a wonderful place to go for a hike or take a picnic.

4. Visit the aquarium.

5. Watch a movie.

7. Go fishing.

Grab your tackle box and find a nice fishing spot on Lake Lanier, just 30 minutes north of Atlanta. The lake is full of largemouth bass, crappies and walleye fish.

8. Visit the College Football Hall of Fame.

Dads will delight in this interactive experience which features everything college football. A game day theater and 45-yard replica football field further enhance the experience.
