AFib care

Medical name: Atrial fibrillation

Overview

Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is one of the most common types of abnormal heart rhythms (arrythmias), causing irregular, fast heartbeats. It can increase your risk of stroke, affect how your heart functions and impact your quality of life.

Patients can rely on our caring and experienced AFib specialists for help. We’ll work with you to create a treatment plan that manages your symptoms, reduces your risk of stroke and helps you feel better faster.

Our approach

Your multidisciplinary care team - including atrial fibrillation doctors and other specialists—will focus on four pillars of your AFib care:

  • Maintenance of sinus rhythm
  • Rate control to manage your heart rate
  • Stroke prevention
  • Management of risk factors that contribute to AFib

While our primary focus is treating your AFib risk factors and reducing your risk of stroke, we also offer several advanced treatment options, including catheter ablation, cardiac device implantation and surgical ablation.

Ongoing lifestyle support

Our team will help you make lifestyle adjustments to manage your AFib risk factors, such as treatment for high blood pressure (hypertension), sleep apnea and obesity.
