Welcome to Labor and Delivery at Piedmont Walton Hospital. We are excited you have chosen to share this special experience with us. We strive to provide optimal family-centered care in a boutique-like atmosphere while supporting your decisions for childbirth and overall hospitalization.

Experience family-centered care designed for you, with access to:

  • Private rooms in Labor and Delivery – all rooms are set up for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care
  • Mother/baby couplet care
  • Free Wi-Fi available in all patient rooms
  • Uninterrupted skin-to-skin with mother and/or support person during the “golden hour” immediately after delivery
  • Support for individualized labor decisions ranging from a natural childbirth experience to a choice of epidural administration for pain management
  • All RNs are trained and qualified to support a mother’s feeding choice
  • OB/GYN and Women’s Services
  • Clinical staff have received state training to ensure car seat safety
  • Community-specific programs and resources
  • Tours offered by the Labor and Delivery unit

Maternity tours

Our tour allows expectant families to visit our maternity center, including Labor and Delivery and Family Care Center (mother/baby unit). Information about the admission process will be provided, and questions will be answered.
