Employee COVID information

Testing information
Employee COVID testing is not available at this time. Please contact your Piedmont Healthcare Provider if you need to schedule testing. If you feel you need a Video Visit with one of our QuickCare or Primary Care providers, you can call 678.309.5690 to schedule a visit.
Test results
- All COVID Test results should be submitted through the COVID Self-Service Portal.
- If you test positive, you will receive a follow-up email including information on next steps and Return to Work (RTW) guidelines.
- If you test negative, you must go through the COVID Self-Service Portal to receive Return to Work clearance once you have been fever free for 24 hours without fever reducers.
Return to work
Regardless of whether your test results are positive or negative, you will need to visit our COVID Self-Service Portal for Return to Work clearance after the appropriate amount of time has passed.
Leave and accommodations
You must initiate a leave request through the ESS AbsenceTracker system if you missed more than 3 days of work due to illness. Visit the Leaves of Absence page on Empowered for information about Piedmont’s Leaves of Absence Policy and guidelines on how to initiate a request using the new ESS system.
Please note, if you must remain out past the full 5-day CDC recommendation, you are required to contact your Leave and Accommodation Specialist to request an extension and additional documentation from your medical provider is required in order for the additional time off to be protected as a leave of absence.
