Oncology Rehabilitation
Our specially trained cancer rehabilitation therapists provide individualized consultation and treatment, addressing limitations and concerns that develop after surgery or treatment.
People who have survived cancer may have physical, emotional, and social issues that affect their quality of life. Through compassionate intervention, we instruct you in safe and effective methods to help you get back to your everyday activities.
You may be a candidate for Piedmont’s Oncology Rehabilitation Program if you have had any of the following procedures:
- Mastectomy
- Sentinel node biopsy
- Lumpectomy
- Axillary dissection
- Breast reconstruction
- Radiation
Oncology rehabilitation is useful in treating:
- Pain and hypersensitivity to touch
- Scar tissue
- Swelling and lymphedema concerns
- Posture, mobility, strength and endurance
