Compression therapy is one of the ways to treat or prevent swelling from a variety of causes, to enhance wound healing and to decrease symptoms of heaviness and aching in the limbs. These effects are achieved by applying a properly fitted gradient compression garment. By gradually decreasing pressure towards the top of the limb, this helps move out the excess fluid that has accumulated.
Piedmont rehabilitation offers custom or ready-to-wear compression garments for day or night and for all parts of the body including stockings, sleeves, gloves, face masks and vests.
Compression therapy may help if you have any of the below conditions:
