Augusta, Ga. (April 20, 2026) – Piedmont Augusta's Volunteer Services is inviting community members to join its volunteer program and help support patients, families and health care staff.

As patient needs continue to grow, the hospital is looking for dedicated individuals eager to give back and make a meaningful difference.

Volunteers serve in a variety of roles throughout the hospital, including greeting and assisting visitors, supporting administrative teams, delivering items and helping create a welcoming, comforting environment for patients and their loved ones.

“Volunteers are an essential part of the hospital experience,” said Pam Weinberger, manager of volunteer services. “They provide an extra layer of care and compassion that truly makes a difference for everyone who walks through our doors.”

No prior medical experience is required. Piedmont Augusta Hospital provides training and guidance to ensure volunteers feel confident and prepared. Flexible scheduling options make it easy for individuals, students and retirees to participate based on their availability.

Volunteering offers an opportunity to connect with others, gain experience in a health care setting and contribute to the well-being of the local community.
