Grass Family Women’s Center
For more than a century, the Women’s Services staff at Piedmont Atlanta has welcomed generations of babies into the world. We’ve learned that a critical part of providing a high-quality patient experience for the entire family is a serene environment that promotes comfort and safety. With that in mind, we are establishing the new Grass Family Women’s Center at Piedmont Atlanta.
Piedmont’s generous community of donors helped to make the Grass Family Women’s Center possible. Their philanthropic support reflects the impressionable, life-long, generational impact the Women’s Center has on the families it cares for.
By establishing the Grass Family Women’s Center, we’re providing our community with a new, state-of-the-art women’s center to help mothers, babies and families with their exciting journey. With an emphasis on holistic, personalized care, the new facility will provide:
- Improved access to natural daylight and views to promote calm and healing
- Purposeful, larger relaxing patient rooms designed for increased patient and visitor comfort. Equipped with today’s latest technologies and comforts for new parents and babies.
- Increased privacy and serenity within the maternity unit by having a dedicated floor to the Grass Family Women’s Center
- More quality gathering space for your family and loved ones to welcome your newest family member
- Easier accessibility to lessen confusion for families with a designated Grass Family Women’s Center entrance
- Capability to provide for 50% more mothers and families compared to our current space.
The newly built Grass Family Women’s Center will be 73% larger than the current designated women’s center space. Within the center, we will build on our program offerings with improvements to our three largest services:
- Labor and Delivery
- Family Care Center
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Our expansion does not stop there. We have much more to give back to our community. In the coming years, we will expand our Piedmont Atlanta Family Care Center by offering an additional 20 en-suites. These en-suites will be next to the mother’s room with a shared doorway in between. This gives the patient and their loved ones the comfort and privacy they require to heal and recover.
We look forward to welcoming our first babies to the Grass Family Women’s Center’s new Labor and Delivery center in March 2023.
Piedmont Healthcare Foundation invites you to join our community donors by supporting the Grass Family Women’s Center. Your gift will help transform the health and well-being of the next generation of Georgians in the Atlanta area.
