Care Partner Policy (Updated March 7, 2022)

Patients admitted to the hospital, surgery/procedure patients and labor/delivery/postpartum patients can have TWO visitors during visiting hours of 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

  • Inpatient: 2 visitors from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (12+ years old)
  • OB Areas: 2 visitors from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (12+ years old); 1 caregiver in labor & 1 overnight
  • ICU: 2 visitors from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (12+ years old with an adult)
  • Emergency Department: 1 visitor (18+ years old)
  • Lobby Area: Additional visitors must remain outside of the facility
  • Overnight Visitors: Not allowed unless end-of-life
  • COVID Patients: No visitation until after 10-day isolation period

Piedmont encourages the use of electronic devices to communicate with patients who are hospitalized. While we regret the inconvenience it may cause for some patients, safety is at the center of our organization and we believe these steps are necessary to create the safest environment at our hospital.
