Auburn University Dance Marathon Raises Over $356K for Future Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional

Auburn, Al. (February 19, 2024)— The 2024 Auburn University Dance Marathon (AUDM) held on Feb. 17 at Auburn University’s Student Activities Center raised $356,036.24 for the future Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital, the area's Children's Miracle Network hospital. AUDM has raised over $4 million since its creation in 2011.

The funds raised at the 13th annual event will be used to help Piedmont Columbus Regional continue to transform health care for children of the Chattahoochee Valley— ensuring they can receive care close to home with family and loved ones by their side.

“AUDM is such a special program with these college students working tirelessly throughout the year to help us make a positive difference in every life we touch," said Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation Children's Miracle Network Officer Jessie Brown. "Hundreds of students came together and not only raised an incredible amount of funds but also showered our Miracle Families with lots of love and support. We can’t wait to see what these students accomplish for our local kids in the years to come.”

Auburn University students host events throughout the school year to raise funds and awareness, culminating in the main event. The main event included remarks from Piedmont Columbus Regional hospital and foundation staff, Miracle Family testimonials, dance lessons, costumes, arcade games and a power hour contest between the Auburn University and University of Alabama dance marathons. Current students as well as alumni danced and had a fun time while raising money for a good cause.
