Coming Fall 2024: The Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital

This state-of-the-art hospital in Columbus, Georgia will be the only freestanding children’s hospital in our region, dedicated to treating sick and injured kids in a child-friendly environment and positioned to deliver best-in-class children’s healthcare for years to come. In addition to providing specialty inpatient rooms to accommodate the vast array of pediatric patients we serve, this new facility will provide the space needed to expand our pediatric programs and services well into the future.

Photo of the Cheves family“Let’s dream big. Let’s dream of a children’s hospital for Columbus and the surrounding west Georgia and east Alabama area that offers comprehensive and quality healthcare dedicated to our children. Such a dream is now close to reality. When completed, the new children’s hospital in Columbus will be one more jewel in the crown of excellent health care offered by Piedmont Columbus Regional.

Our family is pleased to support this effort, and are honored that the children’s hospital will be named after Bill and Olivia Amos, whom we loved dearly and who were the very best parents and grandparents to us.”

Growing Care for Growing Children

Image of rendering of the playroomWe have extraordinary pediatricians and specialists in our community, but we’re recruiting more to help address the growing needs of children. The Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital will provide a place for the most talented specialists to come and work in a community so committed to the health and well-being of its children. With the completion of the new facility, programs like pediatric rehabilitation, gastroenterology, cardiology, oncology, ENT, diabetes, surgery, and so much more can be provided under one roof.

Help Us Dream Big

Image of rendering of the playroomThe Cheves family’s generosity and commitment to children has made it possible to Dream Big and renovate the former Doctors Hospital facility, but we will need our community’s help to make this dream come true. To support this effort and ensure its success, the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation has launched a $20 million campaign.

To learn more about how you can be a part of this dream for children, please contact Aline Lasseter at the Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation at 706-660-6115 or by email, pcr_foundation@piedmont.org. Your generous support will truly make a difference in every child’s life we touch.
