Current Responsibilities 
Kelly Loftin is the Director of Major Gifts for Oncology Services for the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation. In this role, she is responsible for securing donations of $10,000 and above and maintaining an active portfolio of prospective major donors.

As part of the Foundation team since 2004, Loftin works with physicians, Board members Hospital leadership and Foundation staff to provide support in strategy, implementation and direction of fundraising efforts for Piedmont’s system of hospitals, outpatient centers, emergency services and physician practices.   

Loftin was instrumental in securing the largest donation in Piedmont Newnan Hospital's history – a $5.1 million gift and led Piedmont Newnan’s $8 million capital campaign.

As an extension of the healing team for oncology services, she partners with physicians and clinicians to recognize patient’s gratitude and turn heartfelt appreciation into philanthropic resources for Piedmont.

Prior Experience 
Loftin spent a brief period away from Piedmont in 2016, serving as Director of Major Gifts at New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) in Wilmington, North Carolina. At NHRMC, she served as a leader for the Foundation and an advisor for the six-person team while managing philanthropic programs that maximize individual, corporate and foundation support. She was responsible for managing a portfolio of major donors and developing fundraising strategy for the teaching hospital and regional referral center.

Education, Community and Family
She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Georgia State University. She serves as past president for the Georgia Association of Development Professionals Board of Trustees and is an active member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

In her free time, Loftin enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her family. She and her husband, Allen, have two daughters, March and Willa.
