Compassionate and Sustainable Excellence at Its Best

The five hospitals of Piedmont Healthcare belong to the communities we serve. Our mission is healthcare marked by compassion and sustainable excellence in a progressive environment, guided by physicians, delivered by exceptional professionals and inspired by the communities we serve. This mission is evidenced within our community benefit programs. Piedmont doesn't want just to make people healthier; we want to keep people healthy.

We want our communities and the people who live here to thrive. Piedmont goes outside its hospitals' walls and into parks, schools, community centers and other places where people gather, helping local groups meet the needs that exist within our community.

That means working with other health providers, such as the Good Samaritan Health Center, the Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic, the Coweta Samaritan Clinic and the Center for Black Women's Wellness, all of which focus their care on the uninsured and underinsured.

Because of these collaborations, Piedmont Healthcare was selected as the recipient of the 2011 Georgia Free Clinic Network "Partnership Award" for providing lab services, administrative services and financial support to charitable clinics. So what makes a program a community benefit?
