Thank you for your interest in joining our team of volunteers at Piedmont Macon! We offer valuable volunteer experiences and opportunities to serve for all ages.

Piedmont Macon's volunteers are a dedicated group of individuals that serve our patients, staff, and community with their time and talents to help serve the hospital's mission to make a positive difference in every life they touch. Our volunteers are vital to our success. Volunteers are instrumental in organizing fund-raising events to help offset the costs of medical equipment, aid in hospital development projects, and support community programs.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities are available in the following service areas five days a week mostly mornings and afternoons:

• Emergency Department
• Inpatient Units
• Day Hospital Surgery
• Courtesy Cart Drivers
• Helping with hospital employee events and fund-raising events

Volunteer Requirements

All Piedmont Macon volunteers are required to:

• Be 18+ years of age
• Complete the onboarding requirements including an application, two completed reference forms, a background check, and meet health requirements.
• Follow all Piedmont Macon Hospital Policies and Procedures.
• Attend an orientation and annual re-training.
• Willing to volunteer 100 hours of service in no less than 6 months of consecutive service.
