Volunteer Opportunities at Piedmont Henry
Piedmont Henry Hospital's volunteers are a dedicated group of individuals that serve our patients, staff, and community with their time and talents to help serve the hospital’s mission to make a positive difference in every life they touch. Our volunteers are vital to our success.
Volunteers are instrumental in organizing fund-raising events to help offset the costs of medical equipment, aid in hospital development projects, and support community programs.
Volunteer opportunities are available in the following service areas five days a week mostly mornings and afternoons:
- Surgical Services
- Emergency Department
- Information Desks
- Gift Shop
- Women’s Imaging
- Wound Care
- Inpatient Units
- Auxiliary Office/Patient Information
- Courtesy Cart Drivers
Volunteer Requirements
All Piedmont Henry volunteers are required to:
- Complete the onboarding requirements including an application, two completed reference forms, a background check, and meet health requirements.
- Follow all Piedmont Henry Hospital Policies and Procedures.
- Attend an orientation and annual re-training.
- Purchase a volunteer uniform to wear while volunteering.
Adult men and women, over 18 years of age, are invited to join our volunteer services at Piedmont Henry Hospital. Please print and complete the application and the background check authorization form. Two people who know you well, other than a relative, must complete the Personal Reference Forms. Email or mail the completed application to the address on the application. Once all documents have been received and the application is complete, a member from the Auxiliary will contact you to schedule an interview. Please note: The Auxiliary is not an internship program, nor is it a means to obtain a job within the hospital. We view volunteering as a long-term commitment and seek individuals who will serve for years to come. The Auxiliary does not place community service volunteers.
