Piedmont Columbus Surgery FAQ

Piedmont Columbus Regional surgical care offers advanced diagnostic technology and robotic surgeries for precise, less invasive procedures. Our board-qualified, board-certified surgeons perform surgeries for both adult and pediatric patients in the Columbus, Georgia region.

What types of Minimally Invasive Surgery do you offer?

With da Vinci Single-Site Surgery, Piedmont Columbus Regional's minimally invasive surgeons make one small incision for gallbladder, hysterectomy and ovary removal for benign conditions. It is also used for hernia repair. The da Vinci system features magnified 3D high-definition vision system coupled with flexible Single-Site instruments. These features provide enhanced vision and precision. Patients who choose da Vinci Single-Site experience virtually scarless results, similar to single incision traditional laparoscopy. Surgery is performed through one incision in the belly button, which dramatically limits visible scarring.
