Tickets on sale for Piedmont Walton's 2026 Cookout for a Cause

Monroe, Ga. (August 3, 2026) - Tickets are on sale now for the 2026 Cookout for a Cause, Piedmont Walton Hospital’s annual fundraiser supporting breast health services in Walton County. The event will take place Friday, Oct. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Piedmont Walton Hospital.

Lunch tickets are $15, or attendees can purchase a lunch-and-T-shirt bundle for $30 through Sept. 30.

Proceeds from the event help Piedmont Walton continue to advance breast imaging and breast health services for patients in Walton County.

“This year, approximately $50,000 in donor-supported funding helped expand the Breast Imaging Center to include onsite bone density (DEXA) scanning,” said Joey Vira, director of imaging services at Piedmont Walton Hospital. “This expansion allows patients to conveniently schedule their screening mammogram and DEXA scan on the same day and in the same location, creating a more seamless and patient-centered experience.”

In addition to improving convenience, the expansion provides space and infrastructure to support future clinical growth. In fiscal year 2025, Piedmont Walton Hospital’s Breast Imaging Center served 3,491 patients, including 24 who were diagnosed with breast cancer.

As a nonprofit health system, Piedmont depends on community support to help fund enhancements that expand and improve life-saving patient care close to home. Piedmont Walton invites community members, local businesses and supporters to attend the event, and sponsorship opportunities are still available.
