Piedmont welcomes Johnathan Sayaloune, MD, to Watkinsville practice

Athens, Ga. (September 8, 2026) – Piedmont Athens Regional and Piedmont Physicians Group is pleased to welcome Johnathan Sayaloune, MD, a board-certified family medicine physician, to Piedmont Physicians at Oconee Health Campus. Dr. Sayaloune provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for adolescents and adults and is now accepting new patients.

Dr. Sayaloune specializes in family medicine with particular interests in evidenced-based, preventative medicine including HIV prevention, sexual health and LGBTQ+ health. He is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their health concerns and partnering in their care.

“I’m excited to join Piedmont and serve Watkinsville and the surrounding communities,” Dr. Sayaloune said. “Every patient deserves to feel heard, respected and comfortable discussing their health concerns, and I’m committed to my practice being a welcoming environment where we can work together to reach their health goals.”

Dr. Sayaloune attended Chadron State College in Chadron, NE before earning his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He went on to complete his family medicine residency at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
