
Piedmont Walton launches free Basics of Breastfeeding class

Monroe, Ga. (April 13, 2026) -- Piedmont Walton has announced that it is launching a free Basics of Breastfeeding class designed to help expectant mothers prepare for breastfeeding before their baby arrives.
The class is open to expecting parents who are 20 weeks pregnant or further along and focuses on building confidence and practical skills for breastfeeding success.
Topics covered include the importance and benefits of breastfeeding, preparation for breastfeeding during pregnancy, what to expect during the “golden hour” after birth, positioning and latch techniques, making enough milk for the baby and addressing common breastfeeding challenges.
Classes will be held at Piedmont Walton, 2151 West Spring Street, Building 1, Suite 100, on the last Thursday of each month.
The Basics of Breastfeeding class is offered at no cost. Registration is required, and participants can sign up by calling 770.267.1785.
