Piedmont Walton Hospital to offer free sessions on post-holiday stress, depression

Monroe, Ga. (December 12, 2025) - The holiday season can bring joy, but for many, it also brings stress and emotional challenges. Piedmont Walton Hospital will host two free community sessions in January to help people cope with post-holiday stress and depression.
“Post-holiday stress and depression are more common than people realize,” Susie Payne, community nurse educator for Piedmont Walton Hospital, said. “Our goal is to provide tools and resources that empower individuals to manage these feelings and know when to reach out for support.”
The sessions, led by Payne, will be held January 22 and January 29 at the Walton County YMCA. The events are open to the public, and YMCA membership is not required
The program will cover what post-holiday stress and depression are, what causes them, how to regain control and when to seek professional help.
