
Piedmont Walton Hospital to host Stop the Bleed training April 21

Monroe, Ga. (April 7, 2026) — Piedmont Walton Hospital will host free Stop the Bleed training sessions on Tuesday, April 21, offering community members the opportunity to learn lifesaving techniques to control severe bleeding.
Stop the Bleed is an initiative of the American College of Surgeons aimed at empowering bystanders to act quickly in a bleeding emergency. Participants learn to recognize life-threatening bleeding and apply proven techniques to control blood loss until first responders arrive. To date, nearly four million people worldwide have been trained through the program.
Classes are approximately one hour and will be offered at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Piedmont Walton Hospital, located at 2151 West Spring Street, Building 1, Suite 100, Monroe, GA 30655.
