Piedmont Walton Hospital opens applications for 2026 Healthcare Day Camp
Monroe, Ga. (March 3, 2026) – Piedmont Walton Hospital has announced that applications are now open for its third annual Healthcare Day Camp, which will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program is open to rising junior and senior high school students in Walton County and offers an immersive, behind‑the‑scenes look at careers in health care.
“We are excited to bring back this unique opportunity for local students,” said Jamilla Fontenot, MSN, RN, clinical education coordinator at Piedmont Walton Hospital. “Our goal is to inspire the next generation of health care professionals by giving them hands-on experience and an understanding of the many rewarding career paths available in their own community.”
The Healthcare Day Camp introduces students to a wide range of clinical and nonclinical health care roles. Participants will engage with health care workers across the hospital, practice basic clinical skills, explore career pathways and learn how hospital teams work together to support patient care.
