Monroe, Ga. (March 9, 2026) – Piedmont Walton Hospital is partnering with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Thursday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the hospital’s Medical Office Building, at 2151B West Spring Street, Suite 100.

“Giving blood is one of the simplest and most impactful ways to help others,” said Cari Bailey, director of community relations at Piedmont Walton Hospital. “We invite everyone to join us in making a positive difference.”

Blood donations remain critically important. According to the Red Cross, someone in the US needs blood every two seconds, and one donation can save up to three lives. Hospitals depend on a consistent blood supply for trauma care, infusions and surgeries, making each donation essential.

Before donating, the Red Cross recommends eating iron‑rich foods, drinking plenty of water and getting adequate rest the night before. A photo ID is required. For more information, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS.
