Piedmont Rockdale to host Alzheimer's, Dementia Caregiver Support Group

Conyers, Ga. (October 7, 2026) – Piedmont Rockdale Hospital will host an Alzheimer's & Dementia Caregiver Support Group on the second Monday of each month beginning Monday, October 12, at 6 p.m. The group will be held in Classroom 3 of Building A at Piedmont Rockdale, located at 1412 Milstead Avenue in Conyers.

The free monthly support group is open to family members, friends, and caregivers of people living with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias. Participants will connect with others, share experiences, learn practical caregiving strategies, and access valuable community resources in a confidential and compassionate environment. Representatives from Always Best Care – Atlanta, the Alzheimer's Association and Brightmoor Hospice will facilitate the group.

“Caring for a loved one with dementia can be challenging, and no one should have to navigate that journey alone,” said Latasha Emeri, executive director of Always Best Care – Atlanta and community educator with the Alzheimer’s Association. “We are excited to help address a significant need in the Rockdale community by providing a welcoming space where caregivers can find encouragement and support.”
