Augusta, Ga. (October 21, 2026) – Piedmont has officially renamed five home health agencies and two hospice agencies serving the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) as Piedmont Home Health and Piedmont Hospice, extending the Piedmont care experience beyond the hospital and strengthening access to coordinated, patient-centered care across the region. Piedmont acquired the agencies earlier this year.

The transition reflects Piedmont’s continued commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care across the full continuum of services, helping patients receive the support they need in the comfort of their homes. The renamed organizations provide skilled home health services and hospice care throughout the CSRA, working closely with physicians, caregivers and hospital teams to ensure seamless care transitions.

“Patients should feel connected to quality care no matter where they are in their healthcare journey,” said Lily Henson, MD, CEO of Piedmont Augusta. “By bringing these home health and hospice services under the Piedmont name, we are reinforcing our commitment to coordinated, compassionate care that follows patients beyond the hospital setting. These teams play a vital role in helping individuals recover, manage ongoing health needs and receive comfort-focused care with dignity and support when it matters most.”

Piedmont Home Health helps eligible patients transition safely from hospital to home through skilled clinical care, communication with physicians and caregivers, and support tailored to each patient’s goals and needs. Piedmont Hospice provides expert end-of-life care focused on comfort, symptom management and quality of life while supporting families through every stage of the journey.

The rebranding aligns these services more closely with the Piedmont health system and underscores a shared commitment to compassionate care, coordinated communication and consistent quality standards. Patients and families will continue to receive care from trusted local clinicians while benefiting from stronger integration across the Piedmont network.

A key differentiator of the transition is the ability for patients to remain connected to the Piedmont care experience as they move from acute care settings into home health or hospice services, helping ensure continuity, collaboration and confidence throughout the care journey.
