Piedmont Physicians Surgical Specialists of Cartersville celebrated the expansion of its surgical team today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony welcoming three distinguished surgeons.

Cartersville, Ga. (February 3, 2026) – Piedmont Physicians Surgical Specialists of Cartersville celebrated the expansion of its surgical team today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony welcoming three distinguished surgeons: Drs. Chyun Yin “Jenny” Huang, John Hwang and Grant Taylor.

Chyun Yin "Jenny" Huang, MD, brings advanced training in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, her medical degree from Georgetown University, and completed residency at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center. She then pursued a fellowship in minimally invasive and robotic surgery at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island.

She treats conditions including hernias, gallbladder disease, acid reflux and skin and soft tissue disorders and is known for her compassionate, personalized care.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading, traveling, tennis and time with friends and family.

John Hwang, MD, a board-certified general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and robotic procedures, brings nearly a decade of experience in general and bariatric surgery. His expertise includes abdominal wall hernias, gastrointestinal disorders, and gallbladder disease.

He earned his medical degree from Tufts University, completed residency at The Stamford Hospital, and completed a fellowship at The Lahey Clinic. Dr. Hwang emphasizes a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to weight loss and surgical care, working closely with dieticians, psychologists, and exercise physiologists.

An avid runner and three-time marathon finisher, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and son.

Grant Edward Taylor, MD, a general surgeon with more than 25 years of experience, specializes in hernia repair, gallbladder surgery and colectomies. He is board-certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

He earned his undergraduate degree from Allegheny College and his medical degree from Temple University and completed his residency at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. After beginning his career in his hometown, he moved to Georgia in 2005 and has served patients statewide for two decades.

He enjoys traveling, hiking, cycling and time with his Bernese Mountain Dog.
