Piedmont Newton to host community baby shower and breastfeeding awareness walk
Covington, Ga. (September 16, 2026) – New and expectant parents are invited to join Piedmont Newton for the Sip "N" Stroll Community Baby Shower and Breastfeeding Awareness Walk on Sunday, October 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Legion Field, 3173 Mill Street NE, Covington.
The free community event will provide families with valuable education and resources related to pregnancy, breastfeeding, and postpartum care.
Attendees can expect games, treats, and heartfelt moments as we come together to support our growing community. Activities and booths will include:
- Mommy Mocktails
- Breastfeeding Awareness Walk
- Bouncy House and Kids Activities
- Car Seat Safety
- Cookie Decorating
- First Steps
- Newborn Oral Health
- Petting Zoo
Families can receive giveaways, including Pack 'N' Plays, newborn car seats, strollers, bassinets, and postpartum care kits.
“Support and resources can make all the difference during pregnancy and the postpartum period,” said Rhonda Perry, RN, lactation consultant at Piedmont Newton. “We’re excited to welcome families across our community for an afternoon filled with fun, learning, and connection.”
