Stockbridge, Ga. (July 10, 2026) – Piedmont Henry Hospital recently hosted their annual Promise 360 Awards Celebration. The event recognized the hospital’s monthly winners from the past year and named the overall champion for the year for the hospital and two runners-up.

Kayley Lewis, RN, was named the overall winner for displaying character, courage, and dedication during a fire event at the hospital last year. Lewis had been assigned to another unit that shift, but when a rapid response was called on her home unit, and knowing the team was already staff-challenged, she went to help. As the situation escalated and smoke became increasingly thick throughout the unit, Lewis continued pushing through the difficult conditions to ensure patients were cared for, and her fellow team members were supported. She remained focused on the safety and wellbeing of her patients during an incredibly stressful and rapidly changing situation.

“Her instinct was not to leave, but to serve,” said Piedmont Henry CEO David Kent. “Her willingness to run toward the need, even in the midst of uncertainty and danger, demonstrated extraordinary courage, compassion, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to the patients.”

This year’s runners-up were Mandy Dyke, an RN in Radiation Oncology, and Tyana Johnson, an RN in the emergency department. Dyke was nominated for catching health issues in patients unrelated to their cancer diagnoses and treatments and ensuring they were addressed. Johnson came on to work her shift and noticed a patient of hers from the previous night who was about to be discharged. She recognized that something didn’t look right and alerted a physician so new labs could be ordered. The patient was soon admitted, needing immediate vascular intervention to restore blood flow to his legs. Johnson’s actions likely saved the patient’s leg, as well as his life.

Patients, visitors, fellow staff members or department leaders can nominate employees who go above and beyond for others for a Promise 360 award. The overall winner from each hospital in the Piedmont system becomes a nominee for the President’s Award which will be presented later this year.

“These awards, and the hundreds of nominations we receive each year, are a tribute to the passion, and the excellence, of our staff,” said Kent. “Our purpose at Piedmont is to make a positive difference in every life we touch. Our winners demonstrated just how impactful the actions of an individual can be.”
