Blairsville, Ga. (May 29, 2026) – Piedmont Heart of Blairsville invites the community to attend a special open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the addition of advanced nuclear imaging technology designed to enhance cardiac care across North Georgia.

The event will take place Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Piedmont Heart of Blairsville, located at 19 Doctors Way, Suite C, Blairsville, GA 30512. Light refreshments will be served.

The open house will give community members, patients, and local leaders an opportunity to tour the facility and learn more about the new MyoSPECT™ nuclear imaging camera, a next-generation technology that delivers clearer images, faster scan times, and a more comfortable patient experience.

Powered by advanced digital detector technology, the new system enables exceptional image clarity and improved diagnostic accuracy while reducing radiation exposure compared to traditional imaging equipment. Its innovative design also allows for shorter exam times—often just minutes—and, in many cases, enables cardiac studies to be completed in a single visit.

“This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care close to home,” said Charles Campbell, MD. “With this advanced imaging technology, we are improving access to faster, more precise cardiac diagnostics for the patients and families we serve.”

The addition of this new system strengthens Piedmont’s ability to detect heart disease earlier and guide treatment more effectively—an important advancement as heart disease remains a leading health concern across Georgia.

Community members attending the open house will have the opportunity to meet the care team, learn about the benefits of the new imaging technology, and celebrate Piedmont’s continued investment in exceptional patient care and experience.
