Piedmont Cartersville Advanced Wound Healing Center welcomes Emily Anne Ray, DO
Cartersville, Ga. (December 18, 2025) - Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center is proud to welcome Emily Anne Ray, DO, to the Advanced Wound Healing Center. Dr. Ray brings extensive expertise in emergency medicine, wound care and hyperbaric medicine, reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional, personalized care for patients with chronic and complex wounds.
Dr. Ray earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. She is board-certified in emergency medicine and holds certifications in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Her clinical interests also include functional medicine, reflecting her holistic approach to patient care.
Previously serving as medical director at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, Georgia, Dr. Ray specializes in treating chronic wounds, including venous, arterial, diabetic, surgical and traumatic ulcers. She is passionate about improving her patients’ quality of life through individualized treatment plans and advanced therapies.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Ray enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, skiing and water sports. She also loves spending time with her two children, family and friends.
