Piedmont Augusta Foundation to host 26th Annual Miracle Mile Breast Cancer Walk

Augusta, Ga. (September 25, 2026) – Piedmont Augusta Foundation will hold its 26th annual Miracle Mile Walk from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Old Train Depot located at 509 Reynolds Street. Please note the location change this year due to construction downtown.

Saving lives through early detection of breast cancer is made possible by local support of the Miracle Mile Walk, a three-mile fun walk through scenic downtown Augusta, in which participants have the opportunity to support a family member, friend or co-worker diagnosed with breast cancer. Historically, more than 10,000 community members attend the event.

One hundred percent of the Miracle Mile Walk’s net proceeds stays in the Augusta community to provide lifesaving screenings to women in the CSRA regardless of their ability to pay. The mammograms and other tests are performed in Piedmont Augusta's Randy W. Cooper, M.D., Center for Breast Health Services and aboard Piedmont Augusta’s Mobile Mammography Unit.

Piedmont Augusta has this region’s first nationally accredited Breast Health Center. Since 2021, more than 134,000 exams or procedures have been performed and 3,102 have been diagnosed with cancer in our community. Piedmont Augusta is also home to the region’s first mobile mammography unit. Since 2002, the Mobile has performed more than 95,000 mammograms in cities and towns in our 25-county region and helped uncover over 430 cases of breast cancer.

The 26th Annual Miracle Mile Walk

• 8-11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Old Train Depot, 509 Reynolds St.
• 7:30 a.m.: Donation Drop-off Tent and Merchandise Store open
• 8 a.m.: Pre-walk program
• 9 a.m.: Walk begins
• 10 a.m.: Post-walk celebration and raffle drawing

Survivors will be recognized, receive a free T-shirt and button and lead the event.
