Monroe, Ga. (December 11, 2025) – Piedmont Walton Hospital is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, at the hospital’s Medical Office Building, Suite 100.

“Giving blood is one of the simplest and most impactful ways to help others,” said Cari Bailey, director for community relations at Piedmont Walton Hospital. “We invite everyone to join us in making a positive difference as we close out the year.”

Blood donations are critically needed during the holiday season, when busy schedules and travel often lead to fewer donors. According to the Red Cross, someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds, and one donation can save up to three lives. Hospitals rely on a steady blood supply for trauma patients, infusions, and surgeries, making every donation valuable.

Before donating, the Red Cross suggests eating iron rich foods, drinking plenty of water and sleeping well the night before. A photo ID is required to donate. For more information, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS.
