Bill and Olivia Amos Children's Hospital unveils Panda Cares Center of Hope

Columbus, Ga. (August 11, 2026) — Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital leadership and Panda Express hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to dedicate its new Panda Cares® Center of Hope.
Panda Express helped create the outdoor playground, giving patients and families a welcoming place to play, connect and experience joy during challenging medical journeys. The space promotes whole-child healing by supporting children’s mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.
“This is more than a playground. It is a place where children can laugh, play and simply be kids,” said Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation Executive Director Jessie Brown. “We are incredibly grateful to Panda Express for creating moments of hope and healing for our families.”
Panda Cares® Centers of Hope are made possible by donations from Panda Express associates and guests in stores and online. Panda Express has raised more than $200 million for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) hospitals nationwide. Since 2012, local Panda Express restaurants have raised $351,690 for the Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital, your local CMN Hospital.
“Over the years, it has been inspiring to see the Panda Cares® Centers of Hope bring joy, encouragement and meaningful moments of healing to children and families,” said Dr. Peggy Cherng, co-founder and co-CEO of Panda Restaurant Group. “We remain committed to supporting young patients on their journeys toward a healthier future.”
