Columbus, Ga. (June 17, 2026) – The Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation raised a net total of $137,950.81 from the 31st annual Piedmont Classic- Driven by Mercedes-Benz of Columbus this spring at the Country Club of Columbus. The proceeds will benefit patient care and support services at the John B. Amos Cancer Center and the Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital.

Two hundred avid pickleball, tennis and golf players paired up with the championship Columbus State University tennis team as well as pickleball and golf professionals for top-notch instruction and friendly competition.

The John B. Amos Cancer Center is the region’s only comprehensive cancer center, and the Bill and Olivia Amos Children’s Hospital is west Georgia and east Alabama’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Both places provide compassionate, high-quality care for our community— right here at home close to family, friends and loved ones.

“This fundraiser helps us stay up to date with technology and invest in research and development so we can continue to offer state-of-the-art care close to home,” said Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation Executive Director Jessie Brown. “Piedmont Classic has raised more than $4 million since it began in 1995 and we couldn’t do it without the support of our sponsors and donors.”

The Piedmont Columbus Regional Foundation would like to thank Mercedes-Benz of Columbus, Aflac, Georgia Crown, Brasfield & Gorrie, Pezold Family Foundation and Lockwood Partner Foundation for sponsoring the event.

“Mercedes-Benz of Columbus is pleased to play a major role in the fight against cancer through the sponsorship of the Piedmont Classic. Our commitment to support the community and surrounding areas is extremely important,” said Jessica Clayton with Mercedes-Benz of Columbus. “We believe in leading the charge to help keep up the good fight until a day when lives are no longer changed or lost to cancer.”
