Overview

The Physician Recognition Award Program's Howard S. Weldon, Jr. Leadership Award is given to a provider who demonstrates constructive advocacy for medical staff/medical staff department in interactions with Medical Executive Committee and hospital administration, participates on medical staff committee(s), actively participates as a member of his/her medical staff department, advocates for patient care quality and safety practices, and evidences membership in professional organizations, community volunteer organizations and/or pursues educational endeavors to enhance skills.
