• Piedmont Atlanta earned elite 3-star quality rating for TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement) for  patient care and outcomes in the national TVT Registry (2023)
• Ranked top in Georgia for cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News and World Report (2022-2023)
• Piedmont hospitals earned 17 American Heart Association Achievement Awards for quality improvement initiatives for cardiovascular care (2022)
• As an NCDR Chest Pain-MI Registry Gold Performance Award recipient in 2018 and 2019, Piedmont Athens is a leader in setting the national standard for improving the quality of care in patients who suffer a heart attack
• Earned a three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) for coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG) performed at Piedmont Atlanta - putting us among the top 6.5% of U.S. hospitals in the STS's highest tier for quality
• Named as a top 100 heart program nationally by Becker’s Hospital Review in 2017
• Our PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) program has the highest rating for publicly reported outcomes measures from the American College of Cardiology
• Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses for Cardiac Care Unit at Piedmont Atlanta
• First adult ECMO Program in the state of Georgia to be awarded Center of Excellence designation from The Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) 
• Echocardiography labs accreditation from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in echo and stress ECHO 
• Five Piedmont Hospitals have achieved full Chest Pain Center Accreditation status through the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC)
