GME psychiatry didactics

Overview

Didactics occur every Thursday from noon to 5 p.m.; this is protected time.

Lectures are focused on practical topics that will help you prepare for your future as a psychiatrist.

All residents are required to give at least one lecture in the PG3 year.

Patient Safety Conferences are held at least monthly. Topics are reviewed in a case-based format to allow residents to participate in Root Cause Analysis.

Case presentations occur at least monthly and always include a discussion on healthcare disparities and what we can do to better address them.

Journal Club is held approximately once a month.

Study hall is held weekly. This is a time set aside for residents to focus on board preparation.
