    GME internal medicine residents at the conference
  • Morning report – Recurring session where each inpatient team is responsible for presenting a recently admitted case. Focus is made on the diagnosis and management of the patient with time spent on the underlying concepts within ABIM content and practice guidelines.
  • Noon conference – Recurring session where faculty and residents prepare topics within the ABIM content specifications to enhance the medical knowledge of colleagues.
  • Patient safety – Monthly review of recent sentinel events within the hospital occurs in a live audience format where residents participate in a live root cause analysis and generate ideas to improve the system.
  • Senior lecture – Each PGY 3 resident presents a Grand Rounds style session where medical literature and society guidelines are used to provide an update or new perspective on a topic in medicine.
  • Journal club – Each PGY 2 and PGY 3 resident is responsible for leading a journal club session each year. The resident selects the article and leads the audience through a critical analysis of the study being examined.
  • Ambulatory conference – Sessions focused on management of outpatient disease processes and prevention guidelines.
  • Business of medicine – Quarterly recurring sessions geared towards education in finances, contracts, insurances, fellowship and career guidance etc.
  • Wellness series – Quarterly recurring sessions geared towards enhancing wellness with education, includes Game Day.
  • Board review sessions – Weekly board review sessions for senior residents with a dedicated week-long bootcamp held in the first week of the final block.
  • Grand Rounds – Monthly Sessions on Current or Interesting Medical topics and advancements to enhance clinical reasoning and knowledge
