Jasper, Ga. (November 4, 2025) – Piedmont Mountainside Hospital proudly celebrated the graduation of its Fall 2024 Nurse Residency cohort on Friday, October 31. The ceremony recognized three outstanding Nurse Residents— (L to R) Raven Davis, Rachel Housley, and Shanna Littleton —for their dedication and growth throughout the program. Davis and Littleton served in the Medical/Surgical unit, while Housley worked in the Emergency Room.
As part of the celebration, the graduates presented an evidence-based project to hospital leadership focused on the benefits of team nursing. Their presentation emphasized how team-based care improves patient outcomes, strengthens staff collaboration, and enhances overall efficiency in clinical settings.
“I couldn’t be prouder of our Nurse Residency program and the incredible nurses it continues to shape,” said Jim Gay, Nurse Residency Coordinator at Piedmont Mountainside. “Watching our residents grow in confidence, skill, and compassion reminds me why this program matters so deeply. It’s a true privilege to see their dedication transform into excellence at the bedside and beyond.”
