Conyers, Ga. (September 11, 2025) – Piedmont Rockdale Hospital recently announced that it has received recertification from DNV as a Primary Stroke Center, reaffirming the hospitals’ readiness to handle a full range of stroke-related medical problems.
“Receiving recertification from DNV as a Primary Stroke Center is a testament to our team’s unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based stroke care,” said Jessica Giangrande, stroke program manager at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital. “This recognition means our patients and their families can count on us for timely, expert stroke care when every minute counts.”
The DNV Primary Stroke Center Certification is based on standards set forth by the Brain Attack Coalition and the American Stroke Association, and affirms that the hospital addresses the full spectrum of stroke care – diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and education – and establishes clear metrics to evaluate outcomes.
In addition to DNV recertification, Piedmont Rockdale’s stroke program was recently recognized by the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines program for demonstrating its commitment to following the latest research-based guidelines for the treatment of stroke and diabetes, ultimately leading to more lives saved, shorter recovery times and fewer hospital readmissions.
