Monroe, Ga. (January 27, 2025) – Piedmont Walton Hospital is putting out a call for nominations for the First Friday Hero program, an initiative designed to honor first responders in Walton and neighboring counties who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and service beyond the call of duty.
“We are thrilled to begin the second year of this program and shine a spotlight on the incredible work of local first responders,” said Courtney Heffner, RN, emergency department flow coordinator and First Friday Hero program lead at Piedmont Walton. “Their dedication and courage make a significant impact on our community. We appreciate the community’s help in sharing the names of deserving individuals and celebrating their achievements.”
Piedmont Walton’s First Friday Hero program aims to recognize the bravery, commitment, and extraordinary efforts of our local heroes. Each quarter, a first responder who has gone above and beyond in their duties will be celebrated and acknowledged for their invaluable contributions to our community.
How to Nominate: If you know a first responder who deserves to be recognized as a First Friday Hero, we encourage you to submit a nomination. Please send your nomination to firstfridayherowalton@piedmont.org.
Nominations should include:
- Your name and contact information
- The nominee’s name
- The agency they work for
- Contact information for that agency
- A brief summary of why the nominee should be considered a First Friday Hero
