Athens, Ga. (November 10, 2023) – Piedmont Athens Regional general surgeon, Whitney Webb, M.D., was recently recognized as a Verified Surgeon of Quality by the Abdominal Care Health Quality Collaborative (ACHQC) for his “dedication to improving the quality and value of health care for patients who suffer from hernia disease and diseases of the abdominal wall or abdominal core.”
As a member of Piedmont Physicians Surgical Specialists of Athens, Dr. Webb has developed a special interest in robotic hernia repair and complex hernia repair and has advanced special training in robotic surgery. In earning the ACHQC Verified Surgeon of Quality designation, Dr. Webb has demonstrated his commitment to providing an “enhanced level of care” for patients with hernia disease and other abdominal wall or abdominal core diseases.
Dr. Webb began performing robotic hernia surgeries in 2016 and has completed more than 1,000 robotic surgery cases. He is a member of the American Hernia Society and is frequently recognized for the consistent, high-quality surgical care he provides to hernia patients.
