Piedmont Eastside Medical Center Names Larry Ebert, Chief Executive Officer

Snellville, Ga. (March 8, 2023) -- Piedmont has named Larry Ebert as the Chief Executive Officer of Piedmont Eastside Medical Center effective March 6. Ebert comes to Piedmont Eastside most recently from Piedmont Walton Hospital in Monroe, where he served for five years as CEO.

Ebert first joined Piedmont in 2017 as the Executive Director of Strategic Operations at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  While at Piedmont Athens Regional, Ebert was a driving force in the planning and execution of numerous strategic initiatives, including the coordination of a master facility plan and a major construction and renovation project for the hospital’s main campus.

"I’m excited to announce that Larry Ebert will lead Piedmont Eastside Medical Center as CEO," said Michael Burnett, Piedmont Athens Regional and Piedmont’s East Clinical Hub CEO. "Larry is a strong leader committed to providing high-quality and safe care close to home. He is committed to ensuring patients in and around Snellville have access to the care they need. His successes in recruiting clinicians and growing service lines perfectly positions him to continue expanding the high-quality services already offered at Piedmont Eastside."

In 2018, Ebert was named CEO of Piedmont Walton where he successfully led the hospital through its integration into the Piedmont system. He has a proven track record of outstanding performance of hospital operations and creating a positive culture for employees and patients. Other accomplishments include his leadership in developing a joint program for nursing students at Athens Technical College’s Walton Campus and Piedmont Walton, successful recruitment of primary care and specialty clinicians to the community, as well as launching and expanding new service lines and tripling the hospital’s medical staff.

"I’m very thankful for the opportunity I’ve had to serve the Walton County community," said Ebert. "I will miss everyone on the team at Piedmont Walton, but I am equally excited about joining the team at Piedmont Eastside and continuing the great work being done there."

Ebert received his bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tenn., and his Master of Healthcare Administration from Louisiana State University.  He is a native of Tennessee and enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife Jessica and their triplets Gavin, Preston and Abigail.

Ebert replaces Trent Lind who is leaving Piedmont Eastside to join Community Health Systems (CHS) in Franklin, Tenn.
