Foundation Database Administrator



Julie Hiland joined the Piedmont Healthcare Foundation in October 2014. In her current role, Julie is responsible for the overall management of the fundraising database, creating data solutions specific to each fundraising program, implementing policies and procedures to ensure data consistency and integrity, providing software training and troubleshooting for all users, scrubbing the information stored in the database, and managing the flow of information between data systems. Additionally, she is responsible for overseeing the processing of all philanthropic gifts received across the system, preparing financial and analytical reports, and facilitating the management of prospect portfolios.

Prior Experience

Julie brought 13 years of fundraising experience to her role. Prior to joining the Foundation, she enjoyed a nine-year tenure as Manager of Donor Services at the Atlanta History Center, and prior to that a three-year tenure as Donor Stewardship Coordinator at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

Education and Community

An Atlanta native (born at Piedmont!), Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. She enjoys being involved in the community, serving on fundraising committees, chairing small events, singing at her church and volunteering at her children’s schools.  Julie lives in Tucker, GA with her husband, Sean, and three young children.
